It's been awhile since I've visited Tex's BBQ since I live in Texas... But I definitely went to this place at least once a week when I lived in Hamburg back in 2011. It totally fulfilled my craving for Tex-Mex, so I really recommend this place.
The burrito was super yummy. The salsa tasted really genuine and the BBQ ribs also were pretty on point. Thank you Tex's BBQ for satisfying the craving of a home-sick Texan. -

Ribs and wings definitely better than I expected from other reviews. Ribs seemed to be grilled as there was no discernible smoke flavor which I would have preferred given name of restaurant. Pretty tasty by themselves but better with sauce. Not over cooked fall off the bone as some reviewers noted and better for it. Only 3 wing parts but they were suitably tasty too. Plentiful quantity for a good appetite.
Not a destination restaurant but if you're in the neighborhood a good value.
Service was good and I had no trouble flagging down waitress to order and when finished to pay. -

Terrible service, even for Hamburg. The waitress actually saw me but would never let me order. So in the end I left before getting any food. I have been here once before, and the food was not so good that it makes up for the service, so that's why I give this place a one star.

Great American Tex Mex style food. Good and fast service. I think it should be made plain up front that they only accept cash payment - no EC, debit or credit cards. Didn't find out until the check came. Also, they automatically put ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard on your burger, just un-American! It should at least come on the side if you don't want to put the bottles on the table like they should be. I don't recommend the margaritas, served in an ordinary drinking glass. Beef burritos were excellent, but please ask what kind of dressing I want on the salad. Listen up German food service industry! This crap you call "American Dressing" is neither dressing nor American. Please rename it to something more descriptive, like "watery thousand island," which is what it really is. No one from or in America eats it or would even recognize it. Now I'll get off my soap box, and say I would recommend this restaurant, just be sure you know what to expect ahead of time.
